Refund Policy
Green Ride Rentals (ACN 672 925 218) ensures customer satisfaction and sets out the conditions for refunds or partial refunds for car rental and accident replacement services.
1. Overview
We provide full, partial, or no refunds based on booking circumstances. This policy complements your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
- ✅ Full Refund – Cancellations made more than 24 hours before collection or caused by our error
- ⚠️ Partial Refund – Cancellations 2–24 hours before collection, administration fee applies
- ❌ No Refund – Cancellations less than 2 hours before collection, no-shows, or damage/misuse
2. Customer Cancellations
More than 24 hours before collection: Full refund, no fee.
2–24 hours before collection: Partial refund, $50 AUD admin fee.
Less than 2 hours: No refund.
All cancellations must be communicated directly via phone or email.
3. Cancellations by Green Ride Rentals
In rare cases, we may cancel bookings due to vehicle issues, force majeure, or booking errors. We will notify you and issue a full refund within five business days, and where possible offer an alternative vehicle.
4. Early Return of Vehicle
Partial refund or credit may be offered depending on circumstances and notice provided. Early returns with less than 24 hours notice may not be eligible.
5. No-Show Policy
No refund is issued for no-shows. Vehicles may be released after a reasonable waiting period. Contact us if running late.
6. Security Bond
Pre-authorised on your card. Released 5–10 business days after return if vehicle is in agreed condition. Deductions for damage, fuel, fines if applicable.
7. Accident Replacement Vehicles
Not-at-fault customers usually incur no cost. Green Ride Rentals pursues reimbursement from at-fault party’s insurer and communicates promptly about disputes.
8. How Refunds Are Processed
Refunds processed via original payment method. Credit/debit cards: 5–10 business days; Bank transfers: 5–7 business days. No cash refunds.
9. Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law
These terms do not limit ACL rights. You may be entitled to remedies such as refund, repair, or replacement if services are not provided with due care and skill.
10. Disputes and Escalation
If unsatisfied with a refund decision, contact us in writing. We aim to resolve concerns fairly within five business days.
